How to have a great party at MakeArt!

How to have a great party at MakeArt!

Choose from the range of crafts available and call or email us to book.  For a set price party, everybody will be doing the same activity, which we will have set up for you when you arrive.

Once you have booked your party, invitations are available to download here and directions are available here

If you’d like us to provide food at a set price per person (from £7), please let us know if any of your guests have any special dietary requirements.  We will need to take a 50% deposit for the food.  Please let us know if the numbers change.  We also have light refreshments (including great coffee!) available to buy from our café.

We allow an hour and a half for the party, and an extra half an hour if you are having food.

You are welcome to bring a birthday cake.  You are also welcome to bring some decorations and balloons, however please bear in mind that the studio can get quite cosy when full up, so less is more!  On that note, it is helpful if mums and dads that are not part of the party can drop off and collect kids, rather than stay for the duration, as space is quite limited.

A crafty party is designed to be a creative and relaxing experience, so please bear in mind it will be a sitting down making party. Tempting as it is for kids, running around in the building is not suitable, due to their own safety and the comfort of others in the studio.

Most of the things you make will be suitable for taking away with you on the same day, with the exception of the pottery, which we keep for approximately a week to glaze and fire, then it will be ready for you to collect.  If your creations are particularly sticky or the paint is wet, we will happily look after them for you while they dry and you can pop back later or another day to collect them.

Thanks for choosing MakeArt to hold your party.  Happy making!
