MakeArt Christmas Workshops 2011
Saturday 19th November 10:30 – 12pm
Fabric Advent Garland £15
Sew a decorative chain of felt mini stockings for hanging on the mantelpiece or stairs, then fill them with treats to help you count down the days to Christmas.
Saturday 26th November 10:30 – 12pm
Mono Print Wrapping Paper & Gift Tags £15
Using metallic paints, glitter and shiny things, create some original designs to add a hand-made touch to your wrapping this Christmas.
Saturday 3rd December 10:30 – 12pm
Willow Wreath £15
Weave willow branches with ribbon, embellishments and natural decorations to create your own wreath to welcome visitors to your home over the holidays.
Saturday 10th December 10:30 – 12pm
Table Decorations £15
Create a willow centrepiece to hold a tea light, and 4 matching napkin rings for your festive meals. Decorate them with beads, wire, and other embellishments.
Please call or email to book a place. Book on all four workshops to get 10% off. Children 7 and under must be accompanied.

Autumn at MakeArt
Hello Makers!

We are running some creative workshops for half term, take a look at our leaflet. Come and try making a lantern from willow and tissue paper, or make yourself a spooky mask for Halloween. We have two lovely sewing projects for you too. If you come to all four workshops, we’ll give you 10% discount!

Sew your very own unique notebook cover (notebooks supplied) using gorgeous vintage fabrics and felt.

Willow Lampshades £15
Create a beautiful colourful lantern with willow and papers. When you place it over a light you will see the lovely colours and patterns light up the room.
Thursday 27th October 10:30am – 12pm
Sew a Hot Water Bottle Cover £15
Design and make your own hot water bottle cover to help keep you and your hot water bottle warm and cosy this winter.
Friday 28th October 10:30am – 12pm
Halloween Masks £15
Using paints, paper and embellishments, make some spooky masks for trick or treating this Halloween.
Autumn days signal the return to spending more time indoors which means more time for craft. If you are getting your Christmas pressie list in order, we have lots of lovely new stock coming in. We have our sought after coasters to decoupage, just £1.70 each. Hand painted pottery makes a lovely gift too, from assorted ornaments to hang on the tree at £4 each to teapots at £20 each and lots of lovely things inbetween. Halloween-Christmas
Great new Halloween and Christmas stock in-store now, there are creepy Jack-O-Lanterns, hanging pumpkins and terrifying toad egg cups or just come by and be really creative and paint your own spooky Halloween themed plate or mug, or why not design your own scary mask for trick or treating this year. Or if your already in the Christmas spirit there are plenty of beautiful Christmas tree decorations, there are Santa Claus plates and Xmas tree side plates to paint. if you’re stuck for gift ideas how about decopatching a gorgeous treasure chest or lovely animal ornament. There is so much to make and do this Autumn!

Work Experience at MakeArt
Working at MakeArt has been a great experience for me, I have really enjoyed coming to work every morning, being independent was really refreshing. Experiencing working life is a great skill to have for when I need to start working I will know what to expect. I have a great time here helping out and learning new skills for the future!
