Why not celebrate by painting your very own commemorative jubilee plate or mug to have your tea in whilst watching the celebrations unfold on the big day!

It was a drop in session for staff and their children to join in with three Easter themed activities, decoupage, silk painting and fabric painting. Decoupaging spring birds, bunnies, ducks and hens proved to be the most popular and staff commented on how relaxing the process was and the fact that anyone could take part no matter how un-artistic they were! Two people painted onto silk and considering it was both their first time produced fantastic paintings, an easter bunny and a colourful abstract pattern that could be made into cushion covers or even a colourful flag. Once people went back to their desks/offices with their finished items more were encouraged to have a go and different departments got to talk and mix together. There was a good crafty buzz in the room with people chatting and exchanging ideas, and overall the session was a great success.

Create a beautiful colourful lantern with willow and papers. When you place it over a light you will see the lovely colours and patterns light up the room.

Sew a Hot Water Bottle Cover £15

Design and make your own hot water bottle cover to help keep you and your hot water bottle warm and cosy this winter.

Halloween Masks £15

Using paints, paper and embellishments, make some spooky masks for trick or treating this Halloween.

Autumn days signal the return to spending more time indoors which means more time for craft.  If you are getting your Christmas pressie list in order, we have lots of lovely new stock coming in.  We have our sought after coasters to decoupage, just £1.70 each.  Hand painted pottery makes a lovely gift too, from assorted ornaments to hang on the tree at £4 each to teapots at £20 each and lots of lovely things inbetween.  Have a look at our gallery for ideas and inspiration.

If you’re doing some gardening this summer, mark your veg patch in style – paint or decoupage some wooden flags and they’ll look as beautiful as the rest of your garden. (£1.85 for a pack of ten flags)

Why not show off all that hard work by throwing a garden party? Some strategically placed tea lights will add a magical feel to your garden in the evening. Some glass tea light holders (£3.50 each) with a splash of glass paint or some decoupage will make them look extra special. You could even welcome your guests with flower garlands, Hawaiian style! (Packs of petals £1 each)

Has Will and Kate’s wedding left you with a taste for something regal? Make a crown of your own – tiara bases are £2 each if you fancy some beading, or cardboard crowns are £1.99 each and ideal for painting or decoupaging.

If you’ve got other weddings coming up this summer, give a more personal gift. Decorate the initials of the happy couple (letters £6.25 each), or perhaps paint a plate or a bowl to commemorate their special day (starting at £7).
