Fore Street is served by lots of Exeter local bus routes, including the following:

Trains:

MakeArt is easily reachable from all Exeter rail stations. Here are some walking directions from each:

From Exeter Central, Leave via the Queen Street entrance and turn left towards the town centre. When you reach the High Street, turn right and carry straight on, over the crossroads and down the hill onto Fore Street. You’ll see MakeArt on the left. It’s about a ten minute walk.

From Exeter St. Davids, cross the car park and walk up the footpath to St. David’s Hill. Turn right and follow the road all the way along, over the mini-roundabout on to North Street and over the iron bridge. Keep going up South Street then turn right onto Fore Street. MakeArt is on the left. It’ll take you about twenty minutes.

From Exeter St. Thomas, turn right onto Cowick Street, towards the Town Centre. Cross the river and head up onto New Bridge Street, which becomes Fore Street. You’ll find MakeArt on the right. It’s a ten minute walk.

By Car:

From the East, follow the A30 to Exeter, then signs into Exeter Town Centre. At the end of Heavitree Road, turn left at the roundabout onto Western Way. Follow the road round, and at the next big roundabout turn right onto South Street. Follow the one way system and turn left at the lights onto Fore Street.

From the North or South, leave the M5 at Junction 29 and follow the directions for the East, above.

From the West, follow the A377 as far as the Riverside Roundabout. take the second turn onto New Bridge Street, which becomes Fore Street.

Parking:

We have no car parking spaces. There are some parking meters on Fore Street but they are usually very busy. You will find car parks on Smythen Street, Western Way, Magdelen Street, Princesshay and Southernhay Gardens.

Please use public transport wherever possible
